You'll want to use keywords that people are actually searching for and that are not too competitive.

Make sure to read the tutorials and get your Adsense and Amazon accounts set up and entered into your HubPages account.

Once you master Hubpages you can start putting content on your own websites and use your hubs to link to and promote that content. There are many Hubbers that make more that $1000 a month by consistently adding quality keyword targeted hubs to their account over time.
